Eating Plan FAQ
A practical guide to using the eating plan creator, from profile setup to adding foods, generating meals, previewing, and saving your plan.
How do I start using the eating plan creator?
Start by setting your daily calories and goal, then open About Me to add profile details, preferences, exclusions, allergies, conditions, medications, and meal-plan style. This gives the planner useful context before the food math starts wearing a cape.
What is the Profile info section for?
Profile info stores core details like birthdate, gender, height, weight, activity level, goals, and health context. These details can support assessments, meal planning, and AI personalization across the tools.
What is the About Me button for?
About Me opens the full eating-plan settings panel. Use it to refine meal type, AI goal, dietary preferences, foods to exclude, allergies, contraindications, medications, notes, and health-test context.
How do I add meals manually?
Use the Add control to create a main meal or snack. Once a meal exists, use the plus button inside that meal to open the food database and add food items.
How do I add foods to a meal?
Open a meal, click the plus button, search the food database, preview foods if needed, then select the food you want. You can adjust the serving amount after it is added.
What does Pick me a food item do?
Pick me a food item asks the AI helper to choose a database food for that meal using your settings and context. It is useful when decision fatigue has entered the kitchen and started rearranging the spoons.
How does Generate Full Day Plan work?
Generate Full Day Plan uses your About Me settings and meal preferences to create a full day of meals. Treat it as a strong starting draft, then edit foods, portions, and meals until the plan fits your real life.
How do calories and portions update?
The planner recalculates recommended calories, actual calories, serving amounts, and meal totals as foods change. You can use Adjust Portions to move unlocked foods closer to the target.
When can I preview my eating plan?
Preview becomes available once your plan has at least one food item. This keeps empty plans from proudly previewing a whole lot of nothing.
How do I save plans or meals?
Logged-in users can save full eating plans and add individual meals to the meal library. Saved plans and meals can then be reused instead of rebuilt from scratch every time hunger files a request.
Does the eating plan replace professional nutrition advice?
No. It is a planning and education tool. Medical conditions, medications, allergies, pregnancy, eating disorders, and clinical nutrition goals should be handled with a qualified dietitian, doctor, or relevant professional.
